We are excited to announce we have been appointed as the official Dealer for the AXOLIFT product range in the UK & Ireland region. Axolift is the Italian manufacturer of high-quality low-level access equipment. The agreement includes sales and product support for the whole Axolift product range including the Manulift manual mast lift, the ELift 350 self propelled mast lift and the new P300 push around scissor lift. The appointment was announced with a product launch during a visit to Belfast. The first Axolift product demonstrations were to the Access Alliance group at a meeting hosted by LOLEX in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. The first Sinoboom AB10ERJN electric boom and Sinoboom VM04E vertical mast lift to arrive in thewhole of the UK & Ireland – have been delivered by authorised Sinoboom Distributor LOLEX Ltd torental companies in the Republic of Ireland. The AB10ERJN is a 1.19m narrow aisle articulated boom providing a working height of 11.62m andhorizontal reach of 6.3m. A horizontal rotating jib and platform both with full 180 degree rotationand zero turntable rotation plus automatic pothole protection makes it extremely versatile.It was ordered by OK Tool Hire Ltd of Cork, a long-established rental business of almost 40 years,which offers plant and tool hire alongside a large powered access fleet. Providing a working height of 5.8m, a 227kgs two man capacity, 785kgs GVW, and a width of only0.78m, the VM04E will pass through a standard doorway. Automatic pothole protection providesgood ground clearance for loading when stowed – great for any rental business transport fleet – butthe VM04E’s most important design feature is a three cylinder hydraulic mast system, therefore nochain inspections required. Clem Jacob commented, “We’ve been very pleased with the performance of all the Sinoboomswe’ve added to our fleet so far – we especially like the ML10EJ mast boom. One of the leading rental firms in the UK and Ireland, HSS Hire has recently placed an order for 130 Sinoboom slab scissor lifts and a selection of mast booms. This marks a second significant order for HSS, after the initial purchase of 30 x 1932ME scissor lifts in 2021. LOLEX Ltd facilitated the acquisitions for HSS Hire Ireland. The 19ft 1932ME Scissor Lift The 1932ME is a compact and versatile scissor lift, boasting a narrow width of just 810mm. Finnish trailer, spider, and boom lift manufacturer Dinolift has selected LOLEX as its exclusive distributor throughout Ireland, effective from this week. The partnership encompasses all Dinolift products, excluding the truck-mounted platform for the time being. LOLEX, founded in 2019 by Trevor and Julie Houston Smyth, initially operated as an independent service, maintenance, and consultancy firm before becoming the Sinoboom distributor for Ireland. Specialising in technical support for various platforms, LOLEX features CAP Certified engineers. Dinolift sales representative Janne Viinanen expressed satisfaction with the new collaboration, anticipating enhanced market opportunities. These Regulations (often abbreviated to LOLER) place duties on people and companies who own, operate or have control over lifting equipment. This includes all businesses and organisations whose employees use lifting equipment, whether owned by them or not. In most cases, lifting equipment is also work equipment so the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) will also apply (including inspection and maintenance). All lifting operations involving lifting equipment must be properly planned by a competent person, appropriately supervised and carried out in a safe manner. LOLER also requires that all equipment used for lifting is fit for purpose, appropriate for the task, suitably marked and, in many cases, subject to statutory periodic ‘thorough examination’. Records must be kept of all thorough examinations and any defects found must be reported to both the person responsible for the equipment and the relevant enforcing authority.
